Diabetes mellitus occurs due to improper production of the insulin by the beta cells of the pancreatic glands. This reason of diabetes may be occurred due to damage of pancreatic gland or according to the lifestyle of the patient. Insulin resistance in the body is considered as the condition which the insulin is secreted from the pancreatic glands which is not sent to the other cells. Then this condition produces variations in the glucose and blood sugar levels in the body.

Does Cinnamon Helps to Prevent Diabetes?

A developing body of study indicates that the everyday spice cinnamon helps to stop or control diabetes.

Cinnamon comes from the inner yelp of Cinnamomum trees, and has a long history as a cookery and curative plant. It is used to treat colds, blockage and diarrhae as a usual medicine. But present science has shown that it is rich in antioxidants which help to decrease the chance of frequent disorders and may slow down the process of aging. More particularly it seems capable in fighting in opposition to diabetes.

Not only does cinnamon trigger basic enzymes in the body as a result motivating the receptors in the cells so they will take action more effectively to insulin, but it also slows down the enzymes sensible for neutralizing producing insulin resistance.

The important elements which helps to stop or treat diabetes are calcium, copper, iodine, iron, phosphorous, potassium, zinc and also the vitamins like A, B1, B2 and C. All these elements can be seen in cinnamon yelp.

One analysis of eight studies organized on humans decided that cinnamon is helpful at dropping blood glucose levels both between and after food and that supplementation may help cut down obstacles from diabetes.

For instance in one review it is found that cinnamon additions show the way to lower fasting blood glucose and improved antioxidant action. But in a review it is found that the additions enhanced fasting glucose and insulin reaction, but that these enhancements were gone when addition is ended. It also reduces the total body fat percentage.

In a recent study it has been declared that the contestants who were given cinnamon additions felt greater enhancement in blood sugar levels when compared to people who were given regular diabetes pills.
